Ryan Kriser

Founder and Chief Investment Officer

Ryan Kriser is the founder and CIO of Helios Capital, a New York City based family office. With over a decade of experience as an investor and advisor, Ryan presently serves as CIO to The Robert Andrew Kriser Family Foundation as well as advisor to Evercore Wealth Management. He is a Board Member of an aerospace company in stealth mode, Space for Humanity,  and on the Advisory Council of The Planetary Society, all of which he plays an active role in the growth of the companies strategically and operationally.

At the Planetary Society, Ryan advises and develops space exploration and K-12 STEM education programs.

Previously, Ryan was an Advisor at Stifel Financial Corp. and Oppenheimer & Co., respectively, where his investment focus was in technology. At Oppenheimer, Ryan built a successful track record in portfolio creation, i.e. led an investment in a prominent satellite communications company, yielding an unrealized gain of over 600%. Prior to Oppenheimer, Ryan was Vice President of Investments at both PK and GAK Capital Management, Inc., the parent family office of Helios Capital. At GAK, he led the firm’s new Technology Investment and Research division, where his investment focused on technology, biopharma, and consumer discretionary sectors.

Michele Guo

Investment Associate

Michele Guo is passionate about finding synergies between investors and entrepreneurs in the tech ecosystem. She is currently an Investment Associate at Helios Capital.

Previously, Michele was Director of Strategy and Partnerships at XTRD, an early-stage fintech startup. The cryptocurrency institutional trading platform aggregated liquidity for top cryptocurrency exchanges to facilitate high-frequency trading. Michele’s efforts led XTRD to successfully fundraise through strategic planning, startup support, roadshow, marketing strategy, and investor relations.

In addition to her work supporting startups’ visions and working with investors, Michele worked on capital markets at PruTech, a software development company, working with institutional clients such as Wells Fargo. At Pinnacle Foods, she was the analyst on the largest portfolio company, helping the team with reporting, analysis, and research needs on CPG innovation and marketing. Michele also helped launch and manage 20+ innovative food space products in the CPG sector.

As a strong proponent of collaboration and helping those in need, Michele is currently a mentor at iMentor and volunteering across various NGOs. She also manages philanthropic initiatives for the Robert Andrew Kriser Family Foundation.
